BARTENDER

Job description

The Canteen is looking for bartenders to join our high-energy Summer front of house team.

Our bar is located outdoors! This presents unique challenges as it pertains to weather and cleanliness. We expect candidates to be able and willing to adapt their daily operations to accomidate these sometimes unpredictable changes in service.

Because this job functions as its own department we would strongly prefer applicants with bartending experience. We do have set recipes and standards for our house coctails but expect candidates to be able to make traditional cocktails on the fly

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing menu items to meet quality, portion, and time standards

• Putting away and organizing daily deliveries (ability to lift 35lbs or more regularly)

• Maintaining station cleanliness/sanitation of the bar refrigeration and storage spaces

• Giving great service to co-workers and guests alike

• Participation in weekly and monthly inventory

• Creation and promotion of weekly drink specials
